Sandy...That Bitch

What a nightmare! As I said, Sandy was a bitch of a storm. I was one of the lucky ones. I only lost power for two seconds and my house is still in one piece and my basement, which has a reputation for flooding, is still dry. My area experienced more very gusty wind than rain. But many people were not so lucky. I can't help but feel bad for those who lost power and especially those who lost everything. My jaw dropped at the sight of so many neighborhoods that are still flooded, houses being flooded or completely destroyed. Losing two days of work due to the MTA shutdown is nothing compared to what many people lost. My heart goes out to those who lost so much more than that. Hopefully, no one goes through a bitch storm like Sandy again. Back to somewhat normal. Stay strong!
